There were two main reasons behind Monroe’s decision to launch an online orientation. The college applied for a grant to increase student success, retention and persistence. One of the grant requirements was to re-design the on-campus orientation and develop an online option for students. By leveraging the features and capacity of the online program, Monroe is also able to meet Title IX mandates. Today, they have transparent, accurate, real-time data to see which students have completed Title IX training and which have not. They can see where students are struggling and reach out to them to help.
