Creating An Better Webinar Registration Experience
Before July 20, 2025

Stony Brook University's Graduate School stands out for its commitment to diversity, research excellence, and a strong faculty, as well as its focus on professional development and community engagement. The Graduate School offers centralized services and support to graduate students throughout their journey, from application to graduation.
Online orientation is a clear-cut piece of the graduate student journey, with the dual goal of fostering community and helping new students acclimate on their own time. Like looking through a prism, students are provided with a clearer and more comprehensive way to visualize and think about their graduate school career.
Stony Brook’s Graduate School online orientation has proven a critical first touch point, welcoming hundreds of new graduate students at a completion rate of nearly 90%. Elizabeth recently coordinated the completion of a redesign of Stony Brook’s online orientation in cooperation with campus partners. Content is presented for masters level and doctoral students, both domestic and international. The platform’s brand-inspired “prism” interface design complements the university’s unmistakable identity.
