Online Orientation: Early Engagement and Consistent Connection

Are you looking for a way to engage with new students right away?  Want to introduce students to the faces and places that will be part of their experience on your campus? Hobart and William Smith Colleges wanted to connect with new students early in the summer to help them feel part of the campus community.  The in-person Orientation experience can be overwhelming and often overloads students with information, session after session. Additionally, students want answers early. They are to get information as soon as they decided to attend.

The online orientation experience at HWS provides students with information when they were better able to absorb it and at their own pace. The connections begin long before students attend the in-person orientation at the end of August. Online orientation provides the platform to deliver the content important to students throughout the summer, over time and just in time.
