Expanding Your Audience
ENGAGEMENT SOLUTIONS
Speaking to the individual with more relevant content is an essential engagement strategy. By aligning your goals with what you know about your audience, you can meet people where they are on their journey to college. Your online orientation speaks to enrollees, new students who have made a commitment to attend. You can also speak to potential students, those who may want to attend but have yet to decide.
Customizing Content for New Students
Your online orientation is adaptable, providing three primary options to customize content.
- Self-Directed Content
- Profile-Directed Content
- Install another instance of your existing platform
You can create content tracks within your existing platform in one of two ways. Enrollees can choose their own adventure of discovery (self-directed content that can be experienced by everyone), and you can deliver content experienced only by certain student types (profile-directed content). There’s no limit to the number of content tracks you can create. Plus, you can assign administrators to manage each one.
The third way to serve a unique audience is to launch a separate instance of your platform. But don’t worry; we’ve simplified the process to maintain your branding and design. Here’s a recent example from McHenry County College in Crystal Lake, IL. McHenry's new student professionals first adopted Advantage Orientation® for all new students and just recently launched a customized experience for dual enrollment students available in both English and Spanish.
