Advantage Orientation^® offers a pre-orientation module for professional and grad student orientation. Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies (SPS) serves international students at every stage of learning: 

• Traditional path undergraduates  
• Students seeking advanced degrees  
• Career changers  
• Adult learners in pursuit of life-long interests 

Their specialized degree and non-degree graduate programs are just as diverse. As one of the first of 20 university-affiliated institutions to launch online programs, the responsibility to develop an online orientation represented a unique opportunity to establish a model and best practices for the rest of the University community. SPS leaders wanted the student onboarding experience to exemplify professionalism in online education AND online student support. After trying to deliver an engaging and motivating online orientation using their LMS, they knew they needed a better solution.
